May 2022 Newsletter
Besides playing Smear on Tuesday and Friday afternoons,
we have enjoyed other events and creative afternoons in April and May:
*decorating Easter eggs with Elsie Gerula
*making greeting cards with Barb Rousseau
*Swedish weaving and teacups and flowers with Rebecca Wood
* Ukrainian paper quilt block and rock painting with Linda Budreau
*A small group had a blast playing Trivial Pursuit one afternoon. The plan is to play again soon.
* “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” movie on Netflix was so entertaining.
After being closed to outside organizations during COVID, our facilities are now available to be rented during times that we are not using the Depot. Rent is $100 per use plus $20 sanitizing fee. The person or organization renting it are responsible for bringing their own coffee, food and supplies, and to leave the room set up as they found it. The event should be over before 10 p.m. Contact person: Linda Budreau.
We have purchased a new First Aid kit, and we plan to have someone come in to train us to use the defibrillator in the fall.
We are anxiously awaiting news from the town about our request for a safer wheelchair ramp. The RR Fix It Club has generously offered to build it this summer if we can get the materials for it.
Next general meeting and lunch will be at 11 am on Wednesday, June 1.
Cost for a great lunch is $5.
This will be the last general meeting until September 7th, but stay tuned because there is a special summer event being planned for Friday, July 15th. Watch for posters.
