Keep Learning
With computer classes coming to a close, Laura has returned home for the winter and Don has continued to work by appointment with some students who have specific computer issues. He has also offered to work with the executive to help us to maintain our website. We are all grateful to have had the opportunity to learn with our peers and get to know each other better. Keep in mind you can connect to our WIFI at the depot and equipment is available for your use. It is important to use what you learned.

Meetings, lunch and a craft:>General meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m. We would like to use this day to have lunch together followed by an afternoon craft or event if possible.
Carol Pratt and members of the Wednesday group prepared lasagna for the meeting on November 3, then in the afternoon, Linda Budreau brought materials to make Christmas Centrepieces. We all went home with beautiful creations, each one unique. Everyone had a great afternoon. Check out the photos.

Soup and Smear (cards)
Card players are back at Smear on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. If you would like to learn, contact us and we will set up a learner’s date. We’d love to see new players out. We held a tournament on Oct 29th. Becky makes soup for 12:30 on Fridays. Cost is $10 for soup and smear, or $5 just for soup.

Crafts
Barbara Rousseau will be heading a workshop at 1 on November 24 making Christmas gift tags out of old Christmas cards. Cost is $5. Sign up at the depot. Please be double vaccinated and wear a mask to protect each other. We would love to have people volunteer to teach a craft. Contact Rebecca if you would like to help with this. We also purchased some glue guns and glue for crafts. All you need is an idea and something to stick together.

Exercise
We have purchased two new pedal exercisers so you can chat with a friend while you pedal. We can even put a bike tour on the big TV so you can pedal around the world with the bike rider on the screen. Some tours also have music to bike by. It makes the miles go past easily. These can also be set on a table to exercise your arms. Thanks, Dorion for putting them together for us.

Christmas Dinner
We have scheduled our Christmas dinner for December 9th.
We have 40 tickets for indoor dining and 40 for pick-up orders. These may be purchased at the depot for $20 each.

Friends at the Fix It Club
The Rainy River Fix It Club will be holding an open house on Saturday, November 20 from 12 to 3. You may have seen some of their items in yards around town. It is a regular Santa’s workshop at this time of year. There will be lots of items for sale, as well as hotdogs for lunch. Don’t miss it.

Our next meeting is December 1 at 10 a.m. We will be planning new event ideas for the new year. Be part of it and join us for lunch.
